In an interview with Empire magazine, Jeremy Renner said he loves the character and is preparing to return to the role of Hawkeye.

The actor shared that he has recovered from his near-fatal snow plow accident in 2023 and is confident that Marvel will make a second season of the Disney series.

“My body is preparing for something like this. I don’t know if anyone wants to see me in a tight suit, but my body will look good in the suit,” said the Hollywood star.

Jeremy Renner debuted in “Hawkeye” in 2021, portraying one of the Avengers veterans dealing with the events following Endgame.

The series also features Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

Renner’s statement came after an interview on the High Performance podcast earlier this year, where the actor commented on a salary dispute in which he was offered half the money to do the second season.

“I was like, ‘Wow, you want me to do twice the work for half the money? Eight months of my time, basically, for half the value?’” he said.

“That’s not Marvel, I’ll say. It’s like, just Disney, not even the real Disney. They’re penny-pinchers, accountants,” he continued angrily after rejecting the “insulting offer.”

Jeremy Renner said he has not yet come to an agreement with the studio regarding his salary.
